Welcome to the West Davis & Bergard Foundation Website. Founded in 1996 by Mr. Carl Bergard and Mr. Leon Seyranian, our mission is to award grants that will help smaller non-profit organizations support and improve our community. Our areas of concern focus on Human Services including: Education, Homelessness, Children and Youth Services, Substance Abuse Treatment, Mental & Physical Impairments, Domestic Violence, Senior Services, and Veterans Issues.
Our special focus is in Alameda County and West Contra Costa County.
Our average grant is $7,500. Since we are a smaller Foundation, our grants are awarded for specific projects (not individuals) rather than operating support.
The board meets once a quarter to consider requests for grants. The deadline dates for Board consideration are: February 15th, May 15th, August 15th and November 15th.
